If I Use A Resource Like Criags List Or Rent.com To Find An Appt. In Queens Ny – Do I Have To Pay A Broker Fee

If so, why? This is not the case in NJ. isnt it the responsability of the owner of the property to pay the broker, and not the person who will rent?
