How Many Americans Were Laid Off Because Of The 2008 Wall Street Stock Market Crash?
That is a very difficult question to answer because it is difficult to assess whether a job was lost because of the stock market crash in itself, the economy in itself, or just the natural trends. Also, it is impossible to predict that job creation when an economy does recover.
However, the best answer I can come up with is 2.6 million jobs were lost in 2008. THis is from the CNNMoney website which I posted in a link below. Mind you, you can’t assume all the jobs lost in this were because of the crash, but it goes to show, it had a HUGE effect!
