Some people feel that their religious & spiritual views are private & personal, and they generally keep them to themselves unless they are asked about them. Other people believe that they have an obligation to share their religious & spiritual views with as many people as possible. What do you personally believe about sharing your own religious views? Thanks for your thoughts.

Keep’em private, unless you want them subject for scrutiny and criticism.
My beliefs are personal and I don’t go around telling everyone about my religion.
If someone were to ask though I would gladly tell them, unless I get a feeling that they may be disrespectful about my personal choice.
R&S is the only place I ever really talk about my religious views, and that’s not very often either. My views are my views and I like to keep it that way, but I’ll share if asked.
The Scriptures tell us that we must be willing to give others the reason for the hope that is in us. If you remember Jesus sent out his disciples to preach the Gospel of the coming kingdom. After he was raised from the dead in the following days he told the disciples that the word must be preached to all starting from Jerusalem.
The parable which Jesus taught the disciples was about a man going away and giving his servants charge of money while he was gone so that there could be increase on his return. One man was so worried by this that he hid his coin away and did nothing to earn more. Others made varying attempts to use the money to make gain. Jesus said that the man who had kept the money to himself had done wrong and he had to give it up to the man who had earned most. This parable was about talents, we must use the talent of the word of God to help others find salvation in the Gospel so that when Jesus returns there will be increase.
I keep them private unless someone asks. I don’t really enjoy talking about them unless someone wants to know.
My words are my own, unless somebody asks me.
My sharing comes in how I live my life. If I’m not living the love of the gospel, all the preaching / proselytizing /witnessing in the world won’t do anything except turn people away.
I honestly respect that people who genuinely think that people are going to a fiery pit to be tortured forever would be total asshats if they didn’t try to tell people how they thought they could get saved.
Its still really annoying though.
My ways are my own and I realize I’d probably sound like a nutjob for sharing them. However, if someone asks, I might share, depending on my relationship with that person.

I believe that it is what Christ commanded us to do.
Matthew 29:19-20 (ESV) 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
They should be personal and private. I have no issues with that. Each to their own.
I do have issues when religions try and encroach on other peoples lives.
Mine are very personal. I specifically believe AGAINST trying to convert others. If another wishes to convert, it must be completely of his/her own will.
For me they are private and l only share when asked. Even then, l am careful what l share unless l truly trust the person.
I personally feel that my religious views and beliefs are my own, and not to be forced upon anyone else. I do however acknowledge that Christianity thoroughly encourages believes to seek out non-believers and preach to them and convert them, but I just don’t find that to be my path in life. I hold to my religion and have faith (some days more than others), but I have almost entirely stopped attending church services, and don’t seek out others to discuss my religion. It’s so controversial nowadays, and I just don’t feel the need to get into an argument with either friends or strangers about something which is almost impossible to change people’s minds on. It’s one thing to preach to children or the uneducated who might want the information you have to offer, but to walk up to a grown adult and tell them why they should change their mind and take up your religion, it’s just forceful and pushy and I don’t believe it will ultimately make a difference.
My religion is my own. If anyone asks me a question, I’ll gladly answer, but I won’t seek them out to convince them to share my views.
Personal. No obligation. Only share when subject is brought up.
My beliefs are personal, but I am obliged to share them..Not force them, share them..If they are not welcome, I know to walk away..
Freely we have recieved, freely we should give…
I believe religious views are personal and no one has an obligation to make their views public. However, I also believe that once I make my views public, there is a certain attached obligation to it. For example, if I wear a religious symbol in public (and I generally do), its not fair to tell people it’s none of their business if they politely ask what the symbol means or why I wear it.
I don’t feel the need to be a missionary, unless I’m trying to convert someone for the business of my religion.
Its just too bad that is the main reason. There are many people who need help, and not so much of a religion.
